Re: New CEGUI library maximum column length
My personal preference as an individual is 80 columns. It's what I use(d) for the majority of the time when I worked on CEGUI and it's what I use for any code I create currently. Do I think 80 columns is 'best' for CEGUI? Yes. Will I attempt to impose my will upon a project for which I no longer act...

Re: New CEGUI library maximum column length
Greetings! This post will not be one that says anything along the lines of " n columns is the absolute maximum we should allow", instead it will go over the main reasons that a limit was established. Also I will mention that at one point in time I was the undisputed king of long lines, tho...

Re: Show your appreciation for CEGUI: Make a Donation!
Hi guys, As Ident stated, the links and buttons we have around here on the site are all correct and all take you to a paypal page to make your contribution to CrazyEddie's pizza fund! This being said, you may also use paypal directly and send to donations@cegui.org.uk. As regards to whether we have ...

Re: Discussion on future removal or rework of CEGUI::ColourR
Yes, i'm pretty sure that the effects used for windows look could also be achived using imagery. Probably the only effect you can't do with pre-rendered imagery is animation of the gradients, but as far as we know, nobody is doing that. And let's hope if there is anyone doing that, they let us know ...

Re: Documentation Confusion and Blank Screen
Hi there,
I would say that if you're getting no errors, no crash and no CEGUI.log, then you may have forgotten to call the function that initialises CEGUI

Nice necro. And if you've had to do what you describe, you've done something else horribly wrong.

CEGUI 0.8.1 Is Released!
'Sup CEGUI Dudes?! This is to announce the 0.8.1 release of CEGUI. Yes it's not so long ago that there was a release, yet here I am again :D It's actually likely that we will release smaller releases more often - especially when we need to fix dumb mistakes that slip in! Anyone who follows @ceguilib...

Re: A couple questions about tooltips
I think I failed to answer the initial query correctly (read as: failed to read the initial query correctly). To add a line break in a layout file, use the long form for the <Property> tag, so instead of: <Property Name="TooltipText" Value="This is a tooltip, I really wish I could put...

Re: A couple questions about tooltips
Hi,
If you use a different font, does it position correctly then? (yes, I think it is maybe related to your other issue ). Also, newlines in tool tip texts should work, I believe.

Re: Quick question about skinning.
This should work as-is - CEED uses CEGUI to render its layout and preview content (different versions, but this should still work - nothing was 'fixed' relating to this in the version of CEGUI that CEED uses). It's possible that it's looknfeel related, but I don't think so. I will look into this a l...
