Re: odd problem with checkbox

Understand it's in my own code. Wasn't implying a problem with CEGUI. It's also why I didn't bother this forum with the error log or the exception details, since I knew there was nothing in there leading to the actual problem. Was just trying to understand CEGUI better. Didn't mean to waste your tim...

odd problem with checkbox

Hi all, I have a series of checkboxes. The intent is that clicking on one box deselects all the other boxes. We're getting an exception when deselecting. After a fair bit of the usual debugging, we're finding that the exception only happens when using the Checkbox::EventStateChanged event. orbARLock...

[Solved] upgrading from 0.6.5 to 0.7.5 (linker err)

Hi all, I'm porting from 0.6.5 to 0.7.5 (SDK) updating Ogre3d from 1.6.4 to 1.7.2 MS2010 Have read through the change log, tuts, etc both on CEGUI and OGRE sites. After a few minor hiccups the worst of it is through. (i.e., it compiles) I'm stuck on a linker error....for 'OgreGUIRenderer.lib' which ...

Re: How can I get the top window's handle?

This might be what you're looking for (adopted from an Ogre3d forum long ago) bool WinWrap::isMouseOverGUI(void) { CEGUI::Window* mouseOverWin = CEGUI::System::getSingleton().getWindowContainingMouse(); if (mouseOverWin == NULL) return false; CEGUI::String type = mouseOverWin->getType(); if(type == ...

Re: Need help with TabControl

Thanks guys, for the quick reply! Jamarr- I was following the method in the wiki and another forum post suggesting to have the tabs as unattached first. I've also tried just using the default tabcontrols in the editor, but have the same problem as this post: http://www.cegui.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic....

Need help with TabControl

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble getting a basic tabcontrol working....for some reason, only one tab shows up, while the rest remain hidden. I've looked through the tutorials, API, an swam through other posts on this forum. All other CEGUI elements are working fine, and since I can't get *any* tab...

Re: Texture problem

Hey Spodzie,

Can you please clarify? I have a very similar problem with my image buttons. When you mentioned the <Colours> element, is this something in CEGUI or was it in your graphics editor?

Cheers

Re: white outline around buttons

Thanks CE, that pointed me in the right direction.

Turned out I was a pixel too large, rather than a pixel too small

[solved] white outline around buttons

Hello all, I've gone through the process of setting up image buttons with my own image set and it's working quite well (using latest CEGUI and Ogre v1.6.3). Buttons are responding correctly. One minor problem is each button has a thin artificial white outline/border. It's a nitpick but I'm wondering...

Re: CELayoutEditor.ini. Where?

Thanks scriptkid! Looking forward to 0-7. I can live with a little cut & paste until then :)

btw...it might also be a permission issue with some users. If their drive is protected, vista auto-sends it to the magic invisible folder.

Cheers

Re: CELayoutEditor.ini. Where?

OKay Vista users, here's a little extra-- You have to change the ini file as scriptkid says. The path is correct. But unfortunately, the layout editor will reinstate the default path every time ceguiLayoutEditor loads. Or is this happening from somewhere in Vista? Either way, your options are, 1/ re...

Re: MSVC++ 2009, Win32, Unexplained Crashing/Errors

Hi Tyler, Could it be that it's just not finding the .scheme file? Might be a resource/path issue. To make the cegui logger more informative CEGUI::Logger::getSingleton().setLoggingLevel(CEGUI::Informative); might save you some time. Finally, I'm pretty sure you can't have two .schemes loaded at the...

Re: Falagard Visual Skin / Scheme Editor

Ha! Yeah that's true. Hang in there. Maybe what you can do is just track the number of downloads. If the number is high enough, take it to potential investors. Actively seek endorsements from some of those video game colleges that are springing up all over the place. It's a crappy market to raise ca...
