Re: Events with multiple possible sources

Re: Cegui with Ogre 2.1

None of the devs currently works with a Ogre project, I know some of the users do (see the other thread about Ogre 2.1). So, I personally unfortunately cant help you. You might also want to ask at the Ogre forum how these functions and members are to be replaced in the new version, which might bring...

Re: Events with multiple possible sources

You could always make a custom widget for that: - derive from the Editbox - setup your own WidgetLook based on the new editbox - use that as widget where you now use some editbox widgetlook - then override the event type and event handler - add member variables to the new editbox class to store the ...

Re: Events with multiple possible sources

Not quite sure I understand you correctly.

Can you show us a stub of the event handler, which would be the static function in your case I think?

Just remove all code you dont want to share for whatever reason. I mostly care about the signature and what data you want there.

Re: [Solved] TabControl: Enabling / Disabling Tabs

Ok that is a special behaviour then and I do not think we should do this by default. In that case I would expect that removing the child and making it hidden (which I think also deactivates input handling) would be the way to go, and I think that is what you did, so no changes needed :)

Re: CEGUIEffectsDemo sample

Just to confirm: it is not working on my system either. I think this might have never worked properly in OpenGL3 because no one implemented it to that extent :)

Re: CEGUIEffectsDemo sample

RenderEffect is quite low level in the way it works , and really all you can do here is looking at the implementation and the sample itself. It is a vertex-based effect if I remember correctly. That said, the sample of OpenGL3 Renderer should work as well. I faintly remember there is a bug on our bi...

Re: [Solved] TabControl: Enabling / Disabling Tabs

Interesting, thanks for figuring this out and reporting the solution.

I would say that having to do this is a workaround and not optimal. What you would expect is that by deactivating the tab, it would become unresponsive to inputs, therefore not allowing to switch to it. Is that right?

That has nothing to do with CEGUI, sorry. That is a Cmake issue. Which compiler did you choose exactly?

Re: Install CEGUI with CMake for VS 2015

I run it from cmake gui and had no problems. If you click configure it asks you for a compiler, doesnt it? Or is that when you get the error?

Re: Is it possible to float windows outside of application main window?

Foremost, CEGUI is designed around being an overlay that can be rendered using modern graphics libraries (HW accelerated) into your framebuffer (or a render-to-texture texture). In that sense, it is not so easy to achieve what you want, since that is not what CEGUI is made for. We care more about pe...

Btw, feel free to remove the properties as discussed, Paul (CrazyEddie) basically agreed to it already.
