Re: Building for Ogre 2.1 (Windows VS)

No idea what the framework is, this is all specific to Ogre itself, see for example https://forums.ogre3d.org/viewtopic.php?t=64564

Re: Building for Ogre 2.1 (Windows VS)

I would double check every field that is relevant for Ogre two or three times each time you click configure. Really, it is all about tghese, and you can just fill them in by yourself anyway.

Re: Building for Ogre 2.1 (Windows VS)

Seems to be some issue with the CMake config. I don't think that's our main problem here. Most of all, I do not think it has anything to do with Ogre at all.

So let's go back to step 1 :)

Did you open Cmake GUI and did you filter for OGRE_INCLUDE_DIR ?
What is inside that variable?

Re: Building for Ogre 2.1 (Windows VS)

Do you use an up-to-date cmake version? can you paste the error messages and also the cmake error log?

Re: Building for Ogre 2.1 (Windows VS)

Default branch uses the official Ogre CMake file. Maybe there is a newer one that you can try? Just replace cmake/FindOgre.cmake to try.

Re: Building for Ogre 2.1 (Windows VS)

The default branch script couldn't find Ogre but the v0-8 one did? And it was the same Ogre version? That is very weird.

Re: GUI toolkits

Scaleform is discontinued. You wouldn't wanna use it anyway. Flash-based UIs are technically problematic in more than just one way, although they might be nice to design. I wouldn't recommend using any such solution. The other option for flash is "Iggy Game UI" but that is also discontinue...

Re: Building for Ogre 2.1 (Windows VS)

Might need to do this for default branch though and not 0.8.X. Not sure which one works best with latest Ogre, the latest Ogre support is purely based on user submissions.

Re: Failing to see GUI

Not injecting time pulses ever (no udpates) so how would it work?

As mentioned in your other thread: Have you looked into the application template code? It shows exactly what to do, all in one file of code.

Re: DynamicModule fails to load ExpatParser

I dumped all *_d.dll files from the dependency folder into my exe folder, and now it works. The problem I'm getting now is when trying to call CEGUI::System::create(myRenderer); , I'm getting an exception in the line assert( !ms_Singleton ); in Singleton.h Read the documentation carefully again. Yo...

Re: DynamicModule fails to load ExpatParser

I really dont know which video you mean. A link would help in this case. The sample browser is part of the solution that you create with cmake (by default). You can run it and you should see if it works there. It is setup and tested and would work if everything else is setup correctly. That way you ...
