Re: injectMousePosition returning nullptr

And you say you did not alter neither the application template nor SDl2 itself? If so, then that is very odd. I wrote a message to the one who wrote them, as I can't look into it myself right now.

Re: Combo boxes and Vertical Layout Containers

CEGUI is very efficient, especially if things dont change much it practically costs you almost nothing to have an extra DefaultWindow. This is except for when you might be interacting with the UI, but then again how often do you click per tick ;)

Re: injectMousePosition returning nullptr

Have you tried using the SDL2 application template? It is tested and should work. You can check it and compare to figure what you did wrong.

Re: Include Directory Conflicts?

My eternal thanks Ident! Time to dive into CEGUI proper. Here's to hoping you won't see me in the help section again. Well it would be still good to see you again here, even if it is just to let us know you are still using CEGUI :D If CEGUI were to become so bug-free and self-explanatory that peopl...

Re: Include Directory Conflicts?

Not sure if related but what gives you the idea that this

Code: Select all

include_directories(Z:/CEGUI/cegui-0.8.7/cegui/include/CEGUI)

would be correct (no offense, just honestly curious)?

Have you tried

Code: Select all

include_directories(Z:/CEGUI/cegui-0.8.7/cegui/include)
?

Re: Can't get subscribeEvent to call its functions

Whenever such things happen it is typically something blatantly obvious in hindsight or something related to configuration mistakes / wrong libs combined. As of now I cant make any sense of it either.

Re: Can't get subscribeEvent to call its functions

Wow this seems so incredibly odd. I mean you say you inject the mouse inputs into CEGUI properly. The same way as it would occur with OIS. Then how can it be that the result is any different? It is not like CEGUI knows anything about the window handle (except for maybe the Renderer). If injecting th...

Re: Can't get subscribeEvent to call its functions

Btw I just noticed you run in x64. Are you sure you are not mixing x86 with x64 anywhere (dlls) ? This can lead to fuckups, just as mixing debug and release dlls can.

Re: Can't get subscribeEvent to call its functions

Ok, again it sounds like you did everything right. Although i dont know what to think about the null-parameters in fireEvent- i can't tell if this is relevant or not from afar. In fact i would have to put hands on this by myself to tell what exactly this means. Have you tried actually running the SD...

Re: Can't get subscribeEvent to call its functions

Graphical programming itself has nothing to do with this: even with nothing rendered, you should get the events if you click in the right area ;) The problem lies, as you correctly said, somewhere in the input handling. The fact that an editbox receives no caret means that the problem is a more gene...

Re: Cannot build CEGUI on Antergos

You might want to contact your packager. Seems like a packaging issue to me, or just a linking issue with tolua, as it seems to have issues adding the symbols from liblua? Not sure how this can even be the case. :pint: The issue has nothing to do with CEGUI itself, that is for sure.

Re: Can't get subscribeEvent to call its functions

Indeed that seems odd. It looks like you do everything right at first glance: you update both context and system, you said the injection is called correctly. You checked that the mouse position is right. Hmm. Have you tried adding an editbox and see if it reacts to your click? The caret should appea...

Re: Combo boxes and Vertical Layout Containers

That's an unfortunate combination of behaviours :| . Honestly, I always have found it quite weird that the expanded version of the combobox depends on the combobox's original size at all. Maybe it would make more sense if the expanded element acted like a child that ignores its parents clipping in g...
