However, I can make the titlebar smaller (by setting the HEight dim to 0.5 instead of 1.0) but it then disconnects from the rest of the frame. There is alot of __auto__titlebar__ stuff going on which I dont understand.

If not, how would one go about reducing the size(height) of the titlebar?
