Okay, so I managed to get the FindCEGUI.cmake from before working, the issue with it is that it makes the include path /usr/include/cegui-0.8.4/CEGUI/ when the CEGUI.h header refers to files such as CEGUI/Affector.h, which means that it does not exist to the compiler. Creating a Symbolic link (as mpreisler suggests in the excerpt quoted by Kulik) works, however I wouldn't call that a complete solution.
