Re: Need help changing Static_Image

I found a way around my problem... Instead of using BUTTONS and STATIC_IMAGES... I used IMAGE_BUTTONS . Pretty much the same thing, but each "state" the button is in is a different image, rather than colors and text. So, my .looknfeel code changed to this: <WidgetLook name="gameGui/Im...

[solved] Need help changing Static_Image

Okay, I need help changing the background image within a button, which is within another static image. Basically, I have 5-buttons with static images attached to each of them. Each one of these buttons has the same background image as the original (main) static background image. I was Trying to chan...

Re: Help... complex GUI selection issues...

Oh good greef! If I have to re-structure my entire game and gui system like that, there is no way I'll get it done in time. The project is due in less than 3 days, and I still have other tasks to do. Thanks for the reply though. I'll be sure to create my next game project with that design philosophy...

Re: [Solved] Issue with "selecting" items from Listbox...

Ah HA, I fixed the problem! Inside my function: bool GameEditorState::fileListItemSelected (const CEGUI::EventArgs &e) I had to put an error checking to see if the selected item == NULL... meaning I have de-selected all itmes. if (mFileListBox->getFirstSelectedItem() != NULL) { mSelectedListboxT...

[Solved] Issue with "selecting" items from Listbox...

I'm having problems when I try to SELECT items from my LISTBOX... Basically what I'm trying to do is given a Listbox (selectable Items), the user can select an item. When that item is selected, the TEXT from that item will be grabbed, then applied to the Editbox. This is basically being used to setu...

Help... complex GUI selection issues...

Hey, I have no short way of explaining this, so here it goes... I am creating a Level editor, and the GUI editor is movable . When I select something from a drop-down list, I am able to place Entities on my map. When I place objects on the map, it's taking CEGUI mouse coordinates, and placing them u...

Re: Is there simple way to color Progres Bars?

You can use <PropertyDim> to define a property and use <ColourRectProperty> in the StateImagery of EnabledProgress to assign the property to the bar. That error is, the property value is a "String", you should use CEGUI::PropertyHelper::colourRectToString to biuld the string first. I took...

Problems coloring Progres Bars...

Okay, I managed to get the Progress bar to show thanks to Eddie... Now I'm having problems changing the color of it in game. It should be pretty easy to change the color of it, because in the looknfeel file, there is this for it: <StateImagery name="EnabledProgress"> <Layer> <Section secti...

Re: help - Progress Bars...

Ahh... static_cast. I saw that elsewhere, but I didn't think it would be applied this way.

Also, I saw setProperty and that that was it, but I didn't think it was going to be used that way.

Thanks Eddie! =D

[solved] help - Progress Bars...

Yeah yeah, this topic has been covered like a million times, but I can't seem to find the answer I need. (ie. http://www.cegui.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3539&hilit=progress+bar) 1) I have a GUI layout with a pre-made "progress bar" location and name defined. 2) I need a wa...

Re: cannot see BG image for custom Scheme

(Thanks Eddie) I solved the issue, and I had to trim the code down an awful lot (lota non-used stuff): <?xml version="1.0" ?> <Falagard> <WidgetLook name="gameGui/Shared"> <ImagerySection name="BackgroundOnlyFull"> <FrameComponent> <Area> <Dim type="LeftEdge">...

[solved] cannot see BG image for custom Scheme

Okay, this is the first time I'm trying to make my own custom scheme / imageset / looknfeel files. I'm using CELayoutEditor... and I'm not seeing anything at all right now... plain old empty box with no background image... I'm hoping someone could tell me what could be wrong with my 3 files. All i w...

Re: Multiple viewports using Ogre + CEGUI

It depends what the camera is pointing at ;) Seriously though, I might have missed the point of the earlier post. If you want to always have 'nothing' in your scene then perhaps a second scene manager will be required. Please note that your definitive answer on this point should come from the Ogre ...

Re: WindowsLooknFeel... can't find something

Thanks Ed, but those are for changing the colors on selection. (I should have worded my question better...) I was wondering how to change the text color for all the items in the Combo box when NOT selected... as in the default color determined by the LooknFeel file. I've been messing with the values...
