if (m_selectedItem && m_selectedItem.isHit (mousePos)){ I don't know if i am right, but i remember in c++ the condition check order in an if is not defined, so it might be that m_selectedItem.isHit (mousePos) is checked before m_selectedItem is checked. That's why i avoid such if's....

glGetError sometimes returning GL_INVALID_ENUM

Hi, I had some problems with my graphics card (ATI 9500 Pro) and had to put in an even older one, nVidia TNT2 :) Now, in my application, after a call to CEGUI::SchemeManager::getSingleton( ).loadScheme(...), If I call glGetError, it returns GL_INVALID_ENUM. Make sure you use the same CRT veresion (regarding debug/release and multithreading) on every compilation you did. Make sure that if you use one debug dll, all other dlls and your project is in debug mode too. These are my hints, hope they help.

Hmm .. you notice that you never access your iterator ? :) Try replacing this

Code: Select all

         CEGUI::String testStr = imgSet->getName();

with this:

Code: Select all

         CEGUI::String testStr = (*itrImage).getName();

not tested, but it should work.

Hehe good idea. I remember i once did so, but only rendering it on the bottom right behind it, so it looks a bit like a shadow. That worked well too, and IIRC warcraft does this too.

I have no idea :) but maybe you could first render the text in bold black and then in normal white so you could imitate an outline. Just an idea

Don't know if it's that you're searching for, but take a look at: void CEGUI::WindowManager::destroyWindow( const String & window ) this destroys a window and AFAIK frees all the memory of it and its childs. If you only want to hide the windows to reuse them later, you can simply hide them by ca...
