Re: CEGUIColourPicker

I am nearly done making the "layout" for the widget in the looknfeel. After that i will have to implement functionality, some basic functionality I already got, and the picker texture creation, colour space conversions, etc., I use from my old project with some changes. - There will be a C...

Re: CEGUI & Dx11 Effect Error

Does the other project actually use the lib files you recreated in your DX11Effects solution?

Re: CEGUI & Dx11 Effect Error

DO NOT create another thread for this, some admin has to move this thread to the right forum. You already have created 2 threads for the same problem. Do you know how this forum would look if everyone created 3 threads per problem? because i rebuild the Effect11 sample but the same problem . You did...

Re: CEGUI & Dx11 Effect Error

As much as it is your right to post here it is your responsibility to make a good post and not waste our time. You did not take your time to create a meaningful topic name for your first created topic. You did not read the guidelines or think of posting relevant information that could help anybody t...

Re: Strange boxes - what are they?

i just noticed the weird boxes i was talking about were apparently close buttons automatically created when you make a Vanilla/FrameWindow for example. Setting the property to false makes them disappear.

Okay so I was wrong there ;)

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

Actually I don't know how to update a texture in OpenGL without sending the height and width when doing this. I don't think it makes any difference if the height and width do not change, and you update it or if they change and you update it, really. The only overhead would be if upon creating a text...

Re: hi !!!! i'am new !!! Any Help !!!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.pastebin.com is a great site for posting snippets of code and logs. You may want to use that site and then post the link here, jfyi. There is also a nice plugin for firefox for that... Okay, so what you sent was not your cegui.log. The log is what by default should be created in your /bi...

Re: hi !!!! i'am new !!! Any Help !!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you compile cegui yourself or used precompiled packages and which version of CEGUI do you use? Also most importantly, post a CEGUI log if you can. You gave us no ...

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

Blitting is pretty much copying texture data. In this case RAM held data into GPU texture. CEGUI can already do that so I strongly suggest that you use it's facilities for it instead of doing a separate implementation for Irrlicht, Ogre, DX, GL, etc... Yes that is what i was talking about. I didn't...

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

If you use OpenGL, your colour picker is not usable in Ogre, Irrlicht and DX This is how to fill a Ogre Texture with manual data : http://www.ogre3d.org/docs/manual/manual_65.html#SEC297 One page back is how you create it. Doesn't blow me away. Looks very much like in OpenGL basically. And DX won't...

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

I like the a) picker as well. The question is how are you going to draw the colour area. Putting just an image there seems wrong because resizing it would make the image pixelised. And AFAIK you can't draw it via just fixed function calls from OpenGL/DX. Let us know what rendering features you will...

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

Great, thanks for confirming that. So i will leave the RGB one out. Yes the term "colour picking" is confusing, as well as "colour map" is a confusing term because that could also mean there is a set of 50 pre-defined colours to choose from, for example. And no I didnt mean to sa...

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

Hi! I think this is a very nice idea! Given that I often write tools and I often find I'd like to have a colour picker but can't take the time to make one I for one would certainly find good use for it. I would assume that colour picking in itself would be a matter of gaining access to the render c...
