Re: CEGUIColourPicker

I like the a) picker as well. The question is how are you going to draw the colour area. Putting just an image there seems wrong because resizing it would make the image pixelised. And AFAIK you can't draw it via just fixed function calls from OpenGL/DX. Let us know what rendering features you will...

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

Great, thanks for confirming that. So i will leave the RGB one out. Yes the term "colour picking" is confusing, as well as "colour map" is a confusing term because that could also mean there is a set of 50 pre-defined colours to choose from, for example. And no I didnt mean to sa...

Re: CEGUIColourPicker

Hi! I think this is a very nice idea! Given that I often write tools and I often find I'd like to have a colour picker but can't take the time to make one I for one would certainly find good use for it. I would assume that colour picking in itself would be a matter of gaining access to the render c...

CEGUIColourPicker

I would like to implement a colour picker as a CEGUI window type, with fully integrated colour picker functionality, for the CEGUI library. I think this is very useful to have in a library like this. It should work similar like the typical colour pickers in most image-processing and editing tools (L...

Re: CEToolset

Link saved my night, old folder didn't work anymore (dunno why). DIdn't find any docu at all on the new layoutEditor (except here in the forums) and svn alone doesnt really help, unfortunately. But this works nicely out of the box without any issues, I hope it stays like this. As for improvements, a...

Re: CEGUI + OpenGL 3.x

I just setup a framework for myself using an Opengl 3.3 context and rendering CEGUI to it and it works so far. There is no problem with deprecated functions afaik, as long as you have compatiblity mode activated (default). I don't see why you would want to go for Opengl 3.x core profile. Do you want...

Re: [CELayoutEditor] Bugs / Usability issues

Please read the Forum Guidelines and then post the CELayoutEditor version you are using. What explicitly did i do wrong in my post regarding the guidelines from your view? The version is the latest precompiled version of the editor (I think 0.7.1a) for win32. Meanwhile i switched to the latest trun...

Re: [CELayoutEditor] Bugs / Usability issues

4. Usability Default names provided when creating a window are somewhat destroying the workflow, especially the hierarchical approach. I'll try another approach and see if this is more work-flow-tastic. 5. Error Creator in some cases creates some redundant properties for the windows. + which lead to...

Re: More on tooltip vibration...

How is anyone supposed to reconstruct the faulty behaviour your described without a test case being given or a specific error reconstruction described making it possible to reconstruct this in an environment a CEGUI developer can easily set up himself? I explained in my first post how to recreate t...

Re: More on tooltip vibration...

That would take hours and hours... perhaps days... I am not set up to create and test C++ executables and don't know how. I would also need a workable CEGUI/Irrlicht draw loop in C++, and my loop is in Freebasic, using an Irrlicht wrapper. So, no. I could provide my program EXE showing this behavio...

Re: Deployment & OgreRenderer

No no I have all CEGUI DLL into my installation folder (CEGUIBase, CEGUIExpatParser, CEGUIFalagardWRBase and CEGUIOgreRenderer) What happens if you start it without debug (usually ctrl+F5) Does it run? Also did you try to execute both the debug and the release executable- both resulting in a crash?...

[CELayoutEditor] Bugs / Usability issues

1. [Change attribute + select bug] Reconstruction: You need 2 windows for this - Select window A in the Main Dialog - Change a value in a field (e.g. name) in the Main Dialog - Before clicking anything or hitting enter, click Window B in the Main Dialog Effect: The Window B will have the changed att...

Re: [CELayoutEditor] Crash / Bugs

I can post a copy of a corrupt .layout file (the .layout file is the problem, i changed some things and it didnt start with loading my memory anymore) with explanation of what i did and which window produces the problem That would be useful, because if the problem can't be easily reproduced the lik...
