Re: Error when building with CEGUIOgreRenderer

Solringolt,
Something is wrong with how you are providing Boost (either how you have built Boost, or built Ogre).

Re: Error when building with CEGUIOgreRenderer

How did your Ogre build go? Looks like the CEGUI build isn't finding the right files to link with. Make sure you build Ogre as DLLs, and that you are sure CEGUI is using the correct Ogre.lib files when linking - I usually check file timestamps to see which lib files are actually built :wink:

Re: [Solved] Problem after building CEGUI for ogre

Hi, the errors you've attached are related to the final linking of the project. You should start off by fixing the OgreRenderer build problems, and maybe post some of those errors instead (fix early errors first). As you've marked the original problem as Solved, you should probably start a new threa...

Re: CEGUI -> Ogre3D Render-to-Texture Alpha Weirdness

This means that the rendertarget you retrieve should also be fully functional. tus->setColourOperationEx(Ogre::LBX_BLEND_TEXTURE_ALPHA); tus->setAlphaOperation(Ogre::LBX_BLEND_TEXTURE_ALPHA); I have no idea what this is about Except that is probably where my problem is. I dumped the alpha channel o...

Re: CEGUI -> Ogre3D Render-to-Texture Alpha Weirdness

There seems to be NO effect setting AutoRenderingSurface to True or False in a non-RTT FrameWindow. The RadioButtons look nice/correct.

Re: CEGUI -> Ogre3D Render-to-Texture Alpha Weirdness

Ok, made a small discovery. The RTT Window being rendered (containing the semitransparent buttons) is a FrameWindow with Alpha=0.0 (the buttons have InheritAlpha=False). If I change the FrameWindow Alpha to <> 0.0 I see the buttons blended with the FrameWindow background according to the buttons' al...

Re: CEGUI -> Ogre3D Render-to-Texture Alpha Weirdness

Nice clarification. Thanks!
I'll definitely look closer into this. I must admit, my project is getting big and unwieldy, so yes, things could be happening "somewhere else" :lol:

Re: CEGUI -> Ogre3D Render-to-Texture Alpha Weirdness

Sorry, I don't get it :( Am I not actually letting CEGUI create the RTT and be in control of the actual rendering?

Code: Select all

CEGUI::TextureTarget* renderTextureTarget = ogRrr->createTextureTarget();

Re: CEGUI -> Ogre3D Render-to-Texture Alpha Weirdness

Thanks for your help http://i58.tinypic.com/4lq6pg.png This is the result of my VanillaSkin test. On the left you see two, slightly overlapping RadioButtons, rendered as part of a regular CEGUI window in the system default GUIContext (the "main context"). (Sorry the background is so dark. ...

[SOLVED] CEGUI -> Ogre3D Render-to-Texture Alpha Weirdness

Hi folks, I'm running CEGUI 0.8.3 and Ogre3D 1.9.0. I am having a slight cosmetic problem with my second GUI context. It is drawn using a CEGUI::OgreRenderer, based on the recommended CEGUI RTT code. The picture below shows the corner of the yellowish album Cadmium by the group Sky as a texture on a...

Re: Ogre single window 2 viewports 2 guicontext

Hi limesX I render CEGUI to a default GUIContext with a root window that covers my entire Ogre scene. In that Ogre scene, I have an object with a specific texture into which I render a second CEGUI GUIContext (containing other buttons etc.) (It took a bit of mindbending for me to understand how to d...

Re: Render CEGUI to Ogre texture - a question

Hi May I ask for a brief example of how this was done? My own attempts so far (rendering a second CEGUI GUIContext on an Ogre Texture) haven't rendered anything visible... I have a main GUI context that handles my "main" CEGUI root+windows. My 3D scene shows many Ogre objects, and on ONE o...

Re: How to design some buttons resolution safe? 0.8.3

Welcome to CEGUI! Well, you need to use relative coordinates. It's all explained in http://cegui.org.uk/wiki/Unified_Positions_and_Sizes_System For example <Property name="Area" value="{{0,481},{0,686},{0,699},{0,718}}" /> is a set of two absolute coordinates (fixed pixel coordin...
