Re: Help migrating to CEGUI 0.7 using Ogre 1.6.4

OK, after doing some debug, it seems to be failing in System::setXMLParser() at line 1579 d_xmlParser = createFunc(); This is happening in the CEGUI demo and the Ogre Demo_GUI (converted to 0.7). It still occurs if I use the bootstrap() function call you provided (thank you by the way!). It would se...

Re: CEGUI 0.7.1 is Released!

I may be incorrect but it would appear that the 0.7.1 updates have not been merged into the SVN trunk yet. Is there a target date for this?

Pre-compiled Dependencies?

Ogre provides stable pre-compiled dependency for download and use to compile the library against.
Is there a place to download pre-compiled dependencies used to create the distributed SDK?

MSVS 9.0 Ogre: 1.6.4 SVN (using boost 1.40) CEGUI: 0.7 SVN We are migrating from CEGUI 0.6.x to 0.7.0 (SVN) and we are getting a runtime exception when initializing the CEGUI system. Based on the Ogre sample provide, I think we are doing it correctly. The error appears to happen inside CEGUI. The CE...

Re: CEGUILayout Editor - 0.6.3 Broke

When I installed 0.6.3 and tried to set a child window positions doing the following: Left Scale: 0 Left Offset: 10 Top Scale: 0 Top Offset: 50 Right Scale: 1.0 Right Offset: -10 Bottom Scale: 1.0 Bottom Offset: -10 in 0.6.2 the window would move and position itself as I made the changes. In 0.6.3 t...

CEGUILayout Editor - 0.6.3 Broke

The 0.6.3 layout editor is broken. Window OFFSETs are not working properly.
How is it that we break something that was working fine in the previous version?

Re: Ogre Renderer

Was there any noticeable improvement in FPS? I know people bitched about CEGUI under Ogre a lot but we never had a real issue with CEGUI's rendering speed.

Luckily we already have this

You need to subscribe the CEGUI::System::EventGUISheetChanged event. Your handler is passed a WindowEventArgs with the 'window' field set to the new sheet.

Request: CEGUI::Window::EventGUISheetChanged

It would be nice to have an event that window could register with that will notify the developer when the ROOT GUI SHEET has changed. This would be very helpful when using more than one ROOT GUI sheet to manage different states of an applications. Some windows are shared across the several states an...

OK, Solved it.. The proper way to get the active (or any) tab window from a tab control: // Get the current tab from the tab control. CEGUI::Window *mTabWindow = mTabControl->getTabContentsAtIndex( mTabControl->getSelectedTabIndex() ); use CEGUI::TabControl::getTabContentsAtIndex()

Yes, mLastTabNumber is fine. When I step through the code the numbers are valid (we started with 1 - zero is invalid) . I added the WindowEventArgs that you suggested and eventWindow does NOT equal getActiveChild . As I stepped through the code I drilled down into the mTabControl and I did see my wi...
