It's also in the FAQ on the wiki now. Probably put there after you asked the question by either lindquist or yourself, but just thought I'd mention it for future reference.

Re: Macro defintion of max?

2nd: Why am I getting this message exactly? I don't know when this check was added, but I didn't get the warnings before.. What could I have changed to start defining min and max? It might have also started to appear because either you or CEGUI changed the order in which some headers are included. ...

Vector GUIs (a follow up)

[edit] er.. this was supposed to be a reply to the previous "Vector GUIs" thread, but I hit some funky key combos or something, and it ended up as this new thread.[/edit] Just a little follow up. I was reading over someone's post to the wxPython list to the effect of "vector guis are ...

Yes, this is related to some recent changes I have been making. Basically the core idea was to remove the 'embedded' copies of certain libraries and link to them externally instead. Ok. No problem. I'm not in a hurry, just trying to get back into the swing of things again. Looking forward to the ch...

Making a simplified interface

I'd like to solicit opinions on creating a simplified interface for CEGUI. CEGUI can do an awful lot, but it's also kind of a lot to swallow when all you want is a quick list of option buttons in the middle of the screen. So what could be done to create a sort of CE-EZ interface to the existing API?...

Re: Pie menu!

Hi guys! I will need a pie menu in my project. (Somewhat like in "EA | The Lord of the Rings: The Battle For Middle-earth" ) Is someone going to develop a pie menu component in CEGUI? If not I will have to do this myself. But I will not start when another one already did or begun. greets,...

Hello, like lindquist says, I am new... Howdy Dalfy! Glad to have you on board. I just want to add a little thing about CEGUI, what you are asking even if it's perfectly justified is something that can be expected of a compagny. CEGUI project is a community project and so it's also up to the commun...

Missing pcre and tinyxml in CVS?

Just tried to update to the latest CVS.
src/pcre and src/tinyxml are expected to be there by the MSVC++ project files, but they don't seem to be checked in.

Wow. Thanks for putting it all out there like that, CrazyEd. I hope you are out having a raging good time living life during those "mysterious disappearances" of yours, and making some great memories to look back on 20 years from now. Meanwhile, CEGUI is definitely poised to take over the ...

You are completely and absolutely right. The CEGUI development process it locked up tightly in our private dev forum and the IRC channel. Losing things that happen on IRC is only natural. That makes sense. But what's the need for a private dev forum? Do you mean literallly that there's some forum s...

CEGUI Development process

This is just my opinion, but to me it seems like the development process behind CEGUI is rather too opaque for its own good. From my perspective, anyway, things like this new ItemEntry list widget thing just seem to come out of the blue. How was it decided that all the list-based widgets would be re...

Re: Tutorial CEGUI and Qt/QGLViewer

I am working on a tutorial on Qt and CEGUI. It is almost finished (need to explain listeners). I just skimmed over it, but it looks great. Might be a good starting point for other people to create tutorials for other windowing toolkits they're familiar with. Basically leave all the CEGUI parts as t...

3D hardware requires that texture have dimensions in powers of two 64x64, 128x128, 128x256, 256x256, 256x512 as so on... The texture does'nt have to be square but both width and height must be a power of two. Any semi-recent NVIDIA card has support for the NV_texture_rectangle GL extension that all...

@Martignasse: If you hit rock ground with this, let me know. This is a loose end I would like to see tied up properly some day. Don't go python if you can make solid c++ @centipede, why do you say that? Personally I think if the tool can get done faster using Python, why not use python? w...
