Re: Lack of Documentation, Samples and Demo's

The devs at Microsoft: There's a whole lot of people employed there who does nothing but write docs all day long. For OS projects, do you really want the devs to spend time on writing newbie guides, and stuff like that? I bet you are getting impatient when the release rate goes way down - they simpl...

I would expect to see others follow my example and contribute: both the user base and the developers.

I think the developers should concentrate on what they do best: writing code with good comments in it. ;)

Re: Looks good, but....

Why on earth are you using Dev-Cpp?
It is inferior to Code::Blocks! :P
Code::Blocks is free, and can use either the Visual C++ 2003 toolkit or mingw.
It blows Dev-Cpp away. 8)

Re: A little skin editor

 Just realised that it is the tabwindow which is invisible.
Haven't tried it with other layouts.

Re: A little skin editor

I use CEGUI 0.3.0 - here's how it looks like in D3D9 windowed: http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/4903/demogui20050709192954605fy.png Notice how the main window is invisible. Here's another: http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/4986/demogui20050709193015464as.png This is the problem in OpenGL fullscre...

Re: A little skin editor

@centipede: Great skins! Looks good! :) I noticed some problems, though. The main window is not drawn - and when I loaded the imagesets into the eddietor, I noticed that the layout information in some places are incorrect. Is it my CEGUI 1.0.3 Taharezlook, or did you test the imagesets before releas...

Re: runtime assertion in version 0.3.0

Check that your project is set up to use a runtime Multithreaded DLL / Multithreaded Debug DLL.
This is most likely to be the problem here.

Re: A little skin editor

This is great! 8)

I just tried the latest script from baxissimo - nice!
Just a small request: when double-clicking on elements, the element in the dropdown doesn't get updated. This needs to be fixed.
Other than that: this rocks! :)

@centipede: Can't wait for the next release! :D

Re: Getting run-time exception

You shouldn't be running it from the IDE, except when debugging.
If you are, you need to go into your project settings and set Command and Working Directory under Debugging.
(Command is Working Directory + the_name_of_your_exe) ;)

Re: Getting run-time exception

0.3.0 is much easier to work with. ;) The \ is an escape character in C++ - when you want to use the \ (not the escape character), you need to "escape" it with \ - and it becomes "\\". Not the best of explanations, but you have Google to provide a better one. You can get rid of t...

Re: scripting suggestions

I think adding it to your projects include search path is the *best* way to do it.
That way you don't have to change paths in your code, should the CEGUI team decide to move it. ;)
