I had this whole reply written about why what you sent me is no use and what you should send me next; then I finally realised...

There is an issue with boost::regex (as used in the editbox for versions up to and including 0.1.1) that only occurs when using STLport 4.6.2, which causes the app to hang in debug mode. In release mode your app should work as expected. I never found a solution to this

First of all I'll say sorry that I did not spot this from the beginning

Your options are to use a different version of STLport (4.5.3 works okay), or upgrade to the latest Ogre 1.0RC1 release and get CEGUI release-0_2_0 CVS branch (this should work okay since it no longer uses boost::regex).
