i didn't even know of these bindings

if you also happen to be using Ogre, you might want to look at PythonOgre:
http://www.pythonogre.com/

They are pretty much up-to-date (0.6.1) with CEGUI too. But i don't think they provide the cegui renderers for DX and GL seperately, only the Ogre one. This means that you won't be able to easily just 'pick' the cegui part.
