GUI in the works.

I have a GUI I was working on a week ago. I'll finish it sometime next week if there is any interest in it. Just wondering if anyone would be willing to turn it into a working GUI? I can supply a broken up template with all the parts seperated and ready to put in but don't have the patience to set it all out.

Allright! Now there are Taharez, Krakken, Jacmoe and me working on skins. That is FOUR people. It is not going to be long before the first TEN skins are ready for use - and it would seem they each fit their own purpose.

@Krakken: I like your skin - very arcade'ish. Love that style, but not very good at it myself :?

If I were you (or whoever is going to convert your skin - perhaps me) I would wait until FalagardLook is ready. TaharezLook is really only suitable for just the taharez skin.

Are these skins going to be publically available for use in produced games?

It would be nice to have a wide selection for all those indie developers out there who need a GUI. As is, CEGUI is already the best choice, but it would be even better with a dozen or so themes ready to go out of the box. It would leave other non-games GUI libraries for dead. :)

I guess so. Mine will be free for any purpose for sure. Either the most generous Create Commons license I kind find or (more likely) simply shipping along with CEGUI under the library's own rights, which I believe to be free for commercial use too.

Until FalagardLook arrives, they will not be finished though. They all go much better along with that layout-model.

Hopefully cegui will soon have some way of tweaking each default GUI layout so the chance of finding two games with the exact same GUI is less likely. I'm thinking about color change, perhaps small variations in choice of gizmos, highlightingbehaviour and anything we can think of.

But then again, once Falagard is out, and the pipeline is cleared all the way from the gui-graphicians to the end-cegui-user, you can expect tens if not hundreds of designs to emerge.
