[Solved] Text not appearing under Linux

[Solved] Text not appearing under Linux

I have been using CEGUI+Ogre for many moons now - but due to using an embedded system we have been running on 0.15.2 Hastur with an old cegui.

Have just migrated to Ogre 1.2.4 and CEGUI 0.4.1 on a Gentoo distro with 2.4 kernel, latest Nvidia driver (Geforce FX5200). Everything runs fine, but we have no text at all under CEGUI. The fonts are being loaded and created fine, but no text is visible.

The CEGUI demos under OpenGL are exactly the same - no text at all in them!!!

Any thoughts???

This is driving me potty - cannot get any fonts on any CEGUI demos. Are there any known NVIDIA driver issues???

was using libfreetype 2.1.5 - upgraded to 2.1.10 and all works fine!!
