Opening .LAYOUT Files From Torchlight (1) Game

Postby phanjam » Thu Nov 23, 2017 11:58

Hello! Sorry for the very newbie question, but can anyone give me brief rundown of how to open the .LAYOUT files from Torchlight1? Like do i use CEGUI or CEED (reeeaaallllyyy dumb questions like that) Im sorry but i'm an amateur modder with so little time for modding, so i'm just looking for some tips to help me get started rather than spending a lot of time researching a tool instead of modding. I'm not lazy - i promise i'll run with whatever ball you can pass on to me :D

If you want to modify the file, use CEED or notepad. If you want to render them yourselves, use the code of CEGUI.

Definitely CEED, you need to open the project file first though.

After the .project file is loaded, you can navigate to the .layout file to open it.

I really wish CEED is able to open .project as a start up parameter, like when you drag and drop a file on an .exe file.
