Good point. I wasnt trying to say that adding it a mistake, it was definitely a good idea to add this. I m just saying that it has to be mentioned that this is optional. Of course nothing stands in the way of using env variables and switching them.

I'm glad that we agree.

It's very useful info to everyone concerned that they understand the boost-find-error (or indeed any cmake-find-error) can be sometimes tied to windows-env-vars.
