0.5.0 RC1 released

Postby lindquist » Tue Jun 20, 2006 11:54

The CEGUI development team is proud to announce that the first release candidate of CEGUI Mk2 0.5.0 has been released.

Go to https://sourceforge.net/project/showfil ... p_id=93749 to grab your own copy, and be sure to report all bugs, and whatever you may find.

Check the release notes for more information
http://www.cegui.org.uk/wiki/index.php/ ... .0_Release

The documentation is not completely updated but this should happen shortly.

Just a quick note to congratulate the other CEGUI team members on doing a superb job of getting this release done.

Some of the things you've been up to in my absence are sounding pretty cool, and I hope to have a proper look at this RC1 release fairly shortly :)

Just to let you know, that while my return to the project is not imminent, I'll likely be back some time later this year (if you'll have me! :P ).

Cheers guys, and well done.

CE.

Great work guys! Now I just need to take some time off Java so I can get a project using CEGUI running :)

Glad to hear the release caught a little interest :)

@CrazyEddie: Nice to see you're still around in some shadowy manner ;)

@Dalfy: I'm not on the computer much at the moment, though I'll be looking at the release this weekend, so maybe I'll get on IRC too :P

@lindquist: Yeah, I can often be found lurking in the shadows (or behind the bushes; but that's a whole other story  ).

I second that!
The Release Notes is promising and the ChangeLog impressive!
Looks like we are dealing with a leaner, meaner and more streamlined CEGUI here! :)
