Packages released for Visual C++ 9 (2008 edition) users

Postby CrazyEddie » Sun Feb 03, 2008 15:24

We're happy to announce that there are now some packages available for users of Microsoft's Visual C++ version 9 - also known as '2008' editions - these packages will also work with the free Express 2008 edition of the compiler.

The packages released are as follows:

CEGUI 0.5.0b Dependencies for MSVC++ 9 (2008)
This contains the latest versions of various libs that CEGUI uses or depends upon. Note this package contains a couple od other files which will overwrite some existing files in the CEGUI 0.5.0b source package, this is required because some things changed/broke on the newer dependency library versions, so these files will update CEGUI so it works.

CEGUI 0.5.0b SDK for MSVC++ 9 (2008)
Precompiled SDK version of CEGUI for use with VC++ 9. Note that this is very slightly more up to date than the other versions released - and the log will report the version as 0.5.1. This version of the SDK contains a Direct3D 9 renderer that was built with the November 2007 DirectX SDK. This version of the SDK also contains an Irrlicht renderer that was built with the latest 1.4 version of irrlicht (support back ported from the CEGUI SVN trunk code). Note the SDK is available as a .zip file only - there is no auto-installer version at the moment.

SILLY 0.1.0 Dependencies for MSVC++ 9 (2008)
Dependency libs required to build the 0.1.0 release of our Simple Image Loading LibrarY.

SILLY 0.1.0 SDK for MSVC++ 9 (2008)
Precompiled SDK version of the 0.1.0 release of our Simple Image Loading LibrarY. Note the SDK is available as a .zip file only - there is no auto-installer version at the moment.

Everything should work ok. As usual, if there are any issues, please let us know :)
