Animated mouse cursor

For help with anything that CEGUI doesn't offer straight out-of-the-box, e.g.:
- Implementation of new features, such as new Core classes, widgets, WindowRenderers, etc. ...
- Modification of any existing features for specific purposes
- Integration of CEGUI in new engines or frameworks and writing of new plugins (Renderer, Parser, ...) or modules

Animated mouse cursor

Postby Nekronomekron » Fri Sep 10, 2004 11:54

Hey you crazy Eddie !!!

First of all, a huge RESPECT for your amazing GUI system !!

Now i have a little question :
Is there any build in possibility for an animated mouse cursor ??
The GUI system works fine, i can load different image set, i can see the mouse cursor, everything is fine.
But when I want to animate the mouse cursor, how can I do so?? Within Ogre it is possible to check the time after every FrameEnded() event and change the images. But that's a lazy and slow way to create an animation.

I hope you can help me,

C YA - Nekro

Full animation support is slated to be added for the beta-2 release (hopefully). Until then you are, unfortunately, stuck with the lazy and slow way that you described ;) Beta-2 will be out after Beta-1, which should be done by the end of this month. Though having said that a lot of the Beta-2 features will be available before Beta-2 actually gets released.

Patience... :)
