Q: CEGUI 0.6 with Ogre 1.6.x (Shoggoth) working OK?

Postby Van » Mon Nov 03, 2008 21:35

We are thinking of upgrading to Ogre 1.6 AND CEGUI 0.6.1 (Currenttly at Ogre 1.4 and CEGUI 0.5.2). Is there any incompatibility issues? Has anyone run into any problems?

We are running shoggoth (RC1) and CEGUI (SVN 1831) latest trunk and it works just fine. As far as i can see there is not many changes for since 0.6.1. Had to modify 2 files in cegui to get it to compile in vstudio cause an undefined type but that was about it (uint32_t).

Regards,

G

Hey Van :)

I think it's doable either. A while ago i bumped an Ogre 1.4 to use Cegui 0.6 without troubles. After upgrading Ogre, just copy back over the newer cegui files into its dependencies.

I am curious for the result though, cause i was asked recently how much work it would be to update to Ogre 1.6...

Good luck.
