Movable objects

I have been doing work with DragContainers, but I find that when I release when dragging, the container just goes backto where it was originally. I really just want to have the ability to move objects around on the screen (just like the windowFrames can with their titlebars). I read about someone using a transparent framewindow, but that sounds a little hacky. Any ideas?
