Running the OGRE GUI sample error

For help with anything that CEGUI doesn't offer straight out-of-the-box, e.g.:
- Implementation of new features, such as new Core classes, widgets, WindowRenderers, etc. ...
- Modification of any existing features for specific purposes
- Integration of CEGUI in new engines or frameworks and writing of new plugins (Renderer, Parser, ...) or modules

Running the OGRE GUI sample error

Postby AllBrain » Wed May 04, 2005 08:20

Running in Fedora Core 3

The program begins I selects all the resolution options etc. then it gives an unhandled exception.

CEGUI.log says...

Exception: FactoryModule::FactoryModule - Failed to load module 'libCEGUITaharezLook.so'.

Am I supposed to have this file on my system? If so, how do I get it.

Thanks in advance!

I think this one's related to: http://www.cegui.org.uk/modules/newbb/v ... umpost3994

I'm just posting this because I have the same problem :( Haven't found a workaround yet, but installing Ogres default files doesn't work as I'm using the Ogre demo, hehe. I've even tried copying the CEGUI files over but they seem to be (very nearly) the same.

any help would be appreciated, I'm not very good with debugging on Linux so after trying that for 2 hours I'm posting here... :(

I've fixed the problem by building xerces-c from source, rather then using gentoos "emerge xerces-c". This fix was suggested on the Ogre forums (http://www.ogre3d.org/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... 8416#58416).
